We Are Elite Pools
Elite Commercial Pools and Fountains is a contracting firm specializing in the construction of pools, fountains, spas, and water features for both public and private sector clients in Central and Southwest Florida. While our name is synonymous with superior craftsmanship and customer satisfaction, Elite has a rich history and foundation built around family values, hard work, and passion.
As a third-generation Florida business, Elite now owns a full fleet of vehicles, our own building and top-of-the line equipment. We have been featured as one of the top 50 swimming pool builders in the nation four times by Pool and Spa News and are known for our unparalleled customer service. In addition, Elite is the only local pool contractor able to provide payment and performance bonds required for municipal and large commercial projects.
Our History
As water feature construction evolved, so has our company. In 1984, we began as Elite Pools, Inc. In 1990, we acquired Weiler Pools and operated as Elite-Weiler Pools, Inc. for 28 years. During this time, we grew to be a nationally ranked pool contractor. Elite Weiler Pools grew tremendously over the years through hard work and commitment, while becoming a household name among 12,000 pool owners.
Re-branding into Elite Commercial Pools & Fountains, our new brand represents our singular focus on the needs of our valued commercial clients. The integration of our experience coupled with cutting-edge technology creates a clear vision for our future.
Our new logo, featuring an abstract pineapple, represents the ultimate symbol of hospitality and is frequently used as a centerpiece for lavish displays and elaborate presentations, much like the water features we create.

Our Founders
Doug Kennedy
Doug Kennedy is the founding father of Elite Pools. After moving to Sarasota, Florida, he established the business in 1984. By combining years of experience in the construction industry with a keen sense for business structure and management, Doug laid the foundation for our company’s success in the decades that would follow.
John Kennedy
As president, John is committed to client satisfaction from initial contact through project completion. He uses his extensive knowledge of commercial construction to guide clients through a trouble-free project experience.
Monica Kennedy
Monica is the Vice President and COO of Elite Commercial Pools and Fountains. In addition, she oversees accounting and business development. Monica has an extensive background in finance and sales and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
